CARMA Successfully Completes its Year 2 Technical Review with the European Commission

On 20 October 2026, the CARMA consortium successfully completed its Year 2 Technical Review with the European Commission, marking another important milestone in the project’s development.

During the review, partners presented the main achievements and progress made throughout the second year, covering technological developments, human-robot collaboration, training activities, communication and dissemination efforts, and upcoming project milestones.

A key highlight of this year’s review was the presentation of CARMA’s first two pilot demonstrations, carried out in Madrid and Paris. These pilots represented an important step towards evaluating the project’s technologies in operational scenarios, providing valuable insights and lessons learned to guide future developments.

The review concluded with positive feedback from the European Commission’s Project Officer and external reviewers, who acknowledged the consortium’s progress, technical achievements and commitment to the project’s objectives.

Building on these results, CARMA now looks ahead to its second phase of pilots, where the consortium will continue refining and evaluating its solutions to support first responders in complex and hazardous environments.

A big thank you to all CARMA partners for their continued dedication and collaborative efforts!
